THE Attorney General has argued that a running mate is not required to be separately supported by 1,000 supporters or pay separate nomination fees since his or her votes are not independent from those cast for the Presidential candidate. And PF Presidential running mate, Prof Nkandu Luo has argued that the Electoral Process (general) amendment regulations of 2021 do not prescribe any election or nomination fee for running mates or Vice-Presidential candidates.
