THE Constitutional Court has granted a Lusaka man permission to serve court documents on former president Edgar Lungu through newspaper advertisement on grounds that the latter has been elusive. This is in a matter in which Michelo Chizombe, a youth activist, dragged Lungu to the Constitutional Court seeking a declaration that he is not eligible to contest any future Presidential elections. Chizombe, who also cited the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) and the Attorney General as respondents, also wants the court to declare that Lungu’s participation in the August 2021 presidential elections was unconstitutional.
