A VISUALLY impaired 57-year-old man has been found with a case to answer for allegedly assaulting his wife with a pounding stick. Lusaka Resident Magistrate Christopher Hampungani has since placed Daniel Mwitumwa on his defence. Mwitumwa, an agriculturist of C.V.R.L Balmoral in Lusaka, is charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Judith Lungu. In her testimony, Inspector Anastasia Junza, 48, said on February 6, 2024 she was on duty when Lungu of Balmoral Research Veterinary Institute reported that her husband assaulted her using a pounding stick and she had sustained a deep cut on the head.
