THE Constitutional Court has dismissed an application by LAZ and other CSOs to suspend all activities of the Technical Committee on Constitution amendments, ruling that the “balance of convenience lies with public interest” in allowing the committee to continue its work. In this matter, the Law Association of Zambia, NGOCC, the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia, the Council of Churches in Zambia, the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops, and the LCK Freedom Foundation cited the Attorney General as the respondent.
