THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has convicted and sentenced a maid to two years’ imprisonment for stealing her employer’s pistol, a ballistic report and other property, all valued at over K120,000. The convict, Fina Muntanga, 32, of Makeni area, was charged with theft by servant. The facts are that between August 1 and October 14, 2025, the accused was employed by Jamie Mukuwa as a maid. During that period, Muntanga, acting with other unknown persons, stole a Taurus pistol, a ballistic report, chafing dishes, floor mats, assorted clothes, table lamps, curtains and assorted bedding, all valued at K125,550.
