UPND Secretary General Batuke Imenda and President Hakainde Hichilema have asked the Constitutional Court to dismiss a petition challenging the Head of State’s eligibility to contest the August general election. Imenda and President Hichilema say that the petition was an abuse of the court process arguing that the petition raises issues already before another court.
