THE Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has convicted a 41-year-old Zambia Air Force (ZAF) flight sergeant for sexually abusing his 14-year-old biological daughter. This was after Lusaka Magistrate Kawama Mwamfuli held that the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt. Earlier, a forensic analyst Innocent Makasa, 50, told the court that DNA tests confirmed that G.B.M was the victim’s father, but the tests excluded him as the biological father of the victim’s baby. In this matter, the accused, G.B.M, is charged with incest contrary to Section 159(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
