Mufulira Wonderers players boycott training over non payment of allowances

Mufulira Wonderers players have absconded training in protest to non payment of transitional league season allowances, two days before the 2019/2020 FAZ/MTN super league kicks off on 31 August.

Players from the club who sort anonymity told Goal Diggers that the club has not paid allowances to the players for close to 10 months.

The players have since vowed to report the matter to the football association if the clubs hesitates to address it.

Wonderers have over the past year been reported to have had challenges paying players.

The club has also failed to sign top players over the years on account of the challenges it is facing.

Wonderers is one of Zambia’s oldest clubs.
