MINISTER of Youth, Sport and Arts Elvis Nkandu has called on sports federations across the country to end internal bickering and rally behind elected leadership, particularly during periods of administrative transition. Nkandu expressed concern over what he described as the growing culture of internal wrangles within federations, noting that newly elected officials are often subjected to criticism and destabilisation almost immediately after assuming office. He urged federation members to exercise patience and allow elected leaders sufficient time to implement their programmes instead of rushing to judgement shortly after elections.
