SPORTS lawyer Dickson Jere has criticised the decision by Confederation of African Football (CAF) to declare Morocco winners of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after overturning the result of the final involving Senegal. The controversial ruling follows a dramatic final played on January 18 in Rabat, where Senegal initially secured a 1-0 victory after extra time. The match, however, was marred by a tense stoppage when some Senegalese players briefly walked off the pitch in protest after Morocco were awarded a stoppage-time penalty with the game still goalless.
