The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has donated 450 wheelchairs targeting to assist persons with disabilities across Western, Southern, Luapula, Eastern, and Muchinga Provinces. The donation, made through the Zambia Agency for Persons with Disabilities (ZAPD), is valued at over K2.5 million. And the support doesn’t stop there. In a bid to ensure long-term impact, 24 physiotherapists and technicians from these provinces have completed specialised training; they are now equipped to assist individuals in effectively using these new assistive devices.
