A MAN of Silverest, who was caught red-handed in the act with a married woman, has pleaded with the court for leniency, saying he was misled by her into believing she was single and therefore did not run when her husband found him on top of her. However, the court ruled that ignorance is not a defence, stating that he should have verified her marital status before the affair, and ordered him to pay K5,000 in compensation to the woman’s husband.
