PF National Youth Chairman Christopher Kang’ombe has appealed to his fellow parliamentarians to stop voting for motions based on political affiliation. On Wednesday, the National Assembly voted against a private member’s motion moved by Kang’ombe to extend the loanĀ scheme facility to students in private universities. Reacting to the failure of the motion in an interview, Kang’ombe said he was disappointed. “The vote was very disappointing and I’m very convinced that all members of Parliament, including those from UPND, actually agree with me in principle that this motion was meant to deal with a very genuine problem in the constituency.
