THE Anti-Corruption Commission has warned officials in government and quasi-government agencies against abusing public coffers, saying it will cause them to pay a high price. Speaking during the commission’s third quarter press briefing, Wednesday, ACC chief corporate affairs officer Timothy Moono said the Commission was watching and ready to pounce on perpetrators of corrupt practices. “I wish to reiterate government’s position of ‘zero tolerance’ to corruption. The commission will only fulfill its mandate in partnership with the Zambian people. It is therefore incumbent on all citizens to abhor corruption and to report the same to the Commission as this is the only way that the vice will be effectively fought.
