SECRETARY to Cabinet Patrick Kangwa has refuted social media reports that some senior government officials have been fired following investigations of abuse of office at the Ministry of Finance. Kangwa says affected Permanent Secretaries have only been transferred to the Cabinet Office while the Directors have been transferred to the Public Service Management Division to pave way for investigations into irregular payments. And Finance and National Planning Minister Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane says the ministry remains fully functional despite the staff movements, assuring that government will fully cooperate with investigative wings.
