THE Ministry of Finance says the sparks and smoke that were observed in one of the ministry’s rooms were a result of an electrical fault induced by rainwater. In a statement, Thursday, the Ministry stated that the incident happened between 13:20 hours and 13:35 hours yesterday. “The Ministry of Finance and National Planning wishes to inform the public that between 13:20 hours and 13:35 hours, today (Thursday), an electrical spark and smoke event was observed in a room where the power distribution box (MCB) for the old wing, is located. The Ministry has three distinct buildings, called wings. New, middle and old wings.
