TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TIZ) Executive Director Maurice Nyambe says the acquittal of former ZAF commander Eric Chimese will add fire to the narrative that there are only a few convictions in corruption cases. The Lusaka Magistrates’ court on Monday acquitted Chimese and Chita Lodge director James Chungu on charges of abuse of authority of office and money laundering relating to properties in Ibex Hill. The Drug Enforcement Commission arrested Chimese and Chungu in February 2019.
