FISHERIES and Livestock Minister Makozo Chikote says he will recommend the suspension of his Permanent Secretary, the Director for Veterinary Services at his ministry and any other officers involved in the illegal transportation of cattle from Western Province. Livestock PS Annie Songolo and director of Veterinary services Dr Geoffrey Muuka are said to have allowed the movement of 21 cattle from Shang’ombo district in Western Province to Lusaka, en route to Southern Province despite the current ban on the movement of livestock from the said province to other parts of the country.
