THE Ministry of Health has disclosed that the country on average records 8,672 cancer related deaths every year and around 13, 831 new cases. In a statement to commemorate the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Tuesday, Ministry of Health Cancer Diseases Hospital Public Relations Officer Mwiza Mwiya noted that cancer continued to be a significant public health problem in Zambia. “In Zambia, cancer continues to be a significant public health problem that is negatively affecting the social and economic wellbeing of people.
