AGRICULTURE Ministry Permanent Secretary Yvonne Mpundu has apologised to the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee over the ministry’s failure to utilise US$1.9 million relating to three project components. Mpundu admitted that the project was not run well because the workers were not doing their job. The Auditor General’s Report revealed that the project was allocated US$1,908,673.42 to cover all activities relating to three project components out of which amounts totalling US$264,457.96 were spent representing 14 percent absorption.
