STATE House Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka says President Hakainde Hichilema will appoint a substantive foreign affairs minister at his own time. On Tuesday, President Hichilema made some appointments and transfers to various service commissions and the Drug Enforcement Commission. The President is, however, yet to appoint a substantive foreign affairs minister following Stanely Kakubo’s resignation in December last year. Kakubo resigned from his position after information emerged that he had allegedly short-changed some Chinese nationals in a mine financial transaction. In the meantime, Justice Minister Mulambo Haimbe has been acting as Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister.
