UNIVERSITY of Zambia Students Union (UNZASU) president Vincent Musilikani has commended government for increasing meals allowances, saying prioritising students shows how visionary this administration is. On Wednesday, the Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board announced that it had increased student meal allowances from K22.50 to K25.00 per day. Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board Senior Corporate Communications Officer Chiselwa Kawanda said the Board had also resolved to implement a uniform accommodation fee for all students across universities.
