VICE-President Mutale Nalumango says it will not be prudent to amend the Constitution purely for the purpose of increasing the number of constituencies. The Vice-President was responding to a question in the National Assembly, Wednesday, posed by Msanzala PF member of Parliament Elias Daka on whether government had plans to delimitate some constituencies prior to the 2026 general elections. In response, Vice-President Nalumango said in order to do that, there was need to amend Article 68 (2) of the Constitution, which talks about the election and composition of the National Assembly.
