FORMER president Edgar Lungu has denied owning any property in Eswatini, stating that even though King Mswati III offered him a plot in a gated golf estate during his 2018 visit to that country, he chose not to take it up. He says this was particularly after the hullabaloo in Zambia, alleging that the gift was not declared. The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) working with The African Report, recently published a dossier alleging that Lungu was linked to corruption activities involving a luxury golf estate in Eswatini.
