THE Zambia Medical Association says the National Health Insurance Management Authority must not blame health workers for their inadequate service delivery in accredited health facilities. On Sunday, NHIMA Director General Micheal Njapau said the authority was investigating some doctors and nurses in government hospitals who were issuing prescriptions and directing patients to purchase drugs from private facilities at a hiked amount. But in an interview, ZMA Secretary General Dr Oliver Kaoma urged NHIMA to expedite their investigations in order to put an end to such allegations.
