CIVIL society organisations on Thursday delivered a petition to Vice-President Mutale Nalumango, calling for urgent reforms and stronger legal measures to curb the rising cases of gender-based violence (GBV) in Zambia. The petition, presented at the High Court Grounds, expressed frustration over what activists described as the slow review of the Anti-GBV Act No. 1 of 2011 and the persistent underfunding of programmes aimed at combating violence against women and children.
