GOVERNMENT has dispatched a consignment of essential medicines to Botswana to assist with a public health emergency in that country caused by critical shortages of medicines. The Ministry of Health says these challenges have led to stock-outs of medicines for conditions such as HIV, cancer and diabetes, necessitating urgent intervention.
