THE Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) has disputed claims that the recent transfers of employees in local authorities is meant to help the UPND win the 2026 general elections. Meanwhile, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Gift Sialubalo has warned public service workers to desist from engaging in politics. The Commission recently made transfers of council secretaries, Town Clerks among other officers in various local authorities in the country.
