THE construction of Chief Mungaila’s palace in Namwala District of Southern Province under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) has reached an advanced stage, with 95 per cent of the works already done. And Namwala District has also modernised Chief Muchila’s palace, while Chief Nalubamba and Mukobela’s palaces are yet to be constructed through the 2024 and 2025 CDF funds respectively. Meanwhile, Chief Mungaila’s representative, Mbeza Shingwele, has complained about the slow pace at which the palace is being constructed, stating that it has taken nearly three years without completion.
