THE governments of Zambia and Botswana have agreed to use the Smart National Identity Card as a travel document for citizens of both countries crossing via the Kazungula Bridge Border. In a statement, Tuesday, Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security Principal Public Relations Officer Mwala Kalaluka stated that Zambia was expected to commence the use of digital national identity cards in 2027.
