GENDER Division Permanent Secretary Mainga Kabika says she has received reports that some political parties are asking female aspiring candidates for sexual favours in exchange for adoptions. Speaking during the official opening of the National Prosecution Authority Conference, Monday, Kabika said she asked the women to secure evidence so that it could be used once they reported the matter. She said such incidents deterred most women from contesting for public office. “As a Permanent Secretary in charge of Gender Division, I have already started receiving reports from female aspiring candidates on how various political party officials and these include youth chairmen and those holding high positions in political parties ask for favours of sexual kinds to exchange for adoption favours....
