IN a society where white-collar jobs dominate formal employment, skills development has often been overlooked, leaving many without practical pathways to earn a living. However, through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Skills Development Bursary, government is redefining opportunity by investing in practical training that is empowering citizens to become job creators rather than job seekers. According to a statement issued by the Lusaka City Council, the initiative is aimed at reducing overreliance on government as the main source of employment, while advancing careers, increasing adaptability and improving job satisfaction among beneficiaries.
