EDUCATION Minister Douglas Syakalima says the August 13 general election will be determined by government’s performance, not the Electoral Process Bill. He states that debating the Bill in Parliament is just a procedure, stressing the election itself will be decided on what government has done rather than the Bill or even the Constitution. Syakalima was responding to opposition MPs during Saturday’s sitting, who warned that failure to remove certain clauses from the Electoral Process Bill would trigger chaos ahead of the general election.
