THERE were mixed emotions in the National Assembly yesterday as Speaker Nelly Mutti announced the sine die adjournment of the 13th Session ahead of its dissolution on Friday. The Speaker says it is her desire that as many MPs as possible be retained because they hold institutional memory. Speaker Mutti was seen hugging members seated on her right as others blew her flying kisses, while some female lawmakers could not hold back tears. She later crossed to the opposition side, where she also exchanged hugs with members before exiting the House.
