POLICE are investigating the sudden death of 25-year-old model and socialite Lisa Mutalu, who reportedly became unconscious after vomiting in the early hours of Thursday following an outing with friends.

The police statement comes after social media reports alleged that Mutalu had been beaten to death by her boyfriend. However, police say no physical injuries have been observed on her body.

According to the preliminary police report, Mutalu was in the company of two female friends at a named hotel in Lusaka around 20:30 hours on Wednesday, where she served as an ambassador.
