IN A statement yesterday, President Hakainde Hichilema said he is very much alive to the disruptions caused by the ongoing load shedding to various economic sectors, small scale businesses, vital installations, households and ordinary people. He said his administration is doing everything in its power to mitigate the challenges in the immediate and long term. We don’t know if our Head of State realises that what has annoyed people is not the load shedding, but the fact that: (a) he really went to town condemning the Patriotic Front for failing to fix ‘such a simple problem’ which he said he would resolve within months of being elected into power (b) he claimed to have ended load-shedding just two weeks ago....
