THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has awarded costs to former first lady Maureen Mwanawasa after two money lenders failed to notify her that they had discontinued their matter against her in March. In this case, the two money lenders, Esther Chipashi and Mustapha Kwabena Osuman, had dragged Maureen to court for allegedly harassing officials from the University of Lusaka who purchased her late husband Levy Mwanawasa’s retirement house after she failed to repay a loan she had obtained from them.
