THE Zambia police service has urged former president Edgar Lungu to ensure that his jogging sessions are devoid of political activism. In a statement, Sunday, police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said Lungu’s jogging processions, characterised by cadres and no security detail, amounted to unlawful assembly and would not be tolerated going forward. “The Zambia Police Service has noted with concern the unlawful assembly and political activism that was conducted by Patriotic Front cadres on Saturday September 23, 2023, when the Former President Mr. Edgar Changwa Lungu was conducting his morning jogging routine,” he said. “What transpired yesterday where Patriotic Front Cadres went about disrupting the free flow of traffic amounts to unlawful assembly and going forward shall not be tolerated.
