COUNCIL of Churches in Zambia General Secretary Fr Emmanuel Chikoya says politicians need to stop the behaviour of using citizens to form regional groups that appear innocent but are actually not helpful. Recently, some prominent Easterners formed a group aimed at fighting perceived marginalisation of their region by the UPND government. Some group members, however, said their group was about pushing the developmental agenda, while complaining that they felt excluded. Other regional groups like Kola Foundation and Luapula United Reloaded have also emerged.
