A WITNESS has testified in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court that Eagle Trading International Limited directed Stanbic Bank to transfer $200,000 to Simonga Farm Limited, owned by Stardy Mwale. Ferguson Kombe, a Senior DEC Investigations Officer, revealed that the transfer instructions originated from Lusaka businessman Clever Mpoha. This case involves former Ministry of Defence Permanent Secretary Stardy Mwale, who is jointly charged with Mpoha and Eagle Trading International Limited for corrupt practices. Mwale allegedly received $200,000 from Eagle Trading International Limited between March 1, 2017, and October 31, 2018, as a reward for facilitating payment of management fees to Africa Security Academy.
