ECONOMIST Lubinda Haabazoka says government should urgently sit down with Congo to resolve the issues surrounding the closure of three DRC borders because it’s a key trading partner. On Saturday, government disclosed that it had temporarily closed down all the three access borders with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on the Copperbelt owing to the protests taking place in that country. Government said it was also engaging the DRC on its recent announcement that it would not be allowing some Zambian products into that country.
