THE Auditor General’s report has revealed that DEMALOG Identification Systems, the consultant for the Integrated National Registration Information System, still had access to the database as at August 31, thereby exposing confidential personal information to third parties. The audit findings revealed that the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security entered into a contract with DEMALOG Identification Systems GmbH for the system upgrade of INRIS, from Automated Fingerprint Identification System to Automated Biometric Identification System, at a contract price of K45,838,528.
