THE Law Association of Zambia has commended government for deferring the Cyber Security Bill and the Cyber Crimes Bill to a later date following an outcry from various stakeholders. The bills were expected to be read for the second time in the National Assembly on Thursday. However, when the Speaker called for the Cyber Security Bill to be read, Science and Technology Minister Felix Mutati asked that it be deferred to a later date. The Cyber Crimes Bill was equally deferred.
