ZAMBIA’S global music sensation, Sampa the Great, says breaking into Australia’s music scene was not easy because she faced a lot of racism as one of the few Black faces in the industry. She says she survived that environment by developing a tough skin, refusing to internalise the racism and continuing to perform even when faced with such challenges.
