Police in Northern Province have arrested two Chinese nationals of Ng’wena main area in Mungwi for beating a 42-year-old Zambian man to death after accusing him of theft.
Northern Province Police Commissioner Richard Mweene confirmed the development to News Diggers! in an interview saying the Chinese nationals used planks and fists to beat up Evaristo Chileshe on Sunday.
“We have arrested two Chinese nationals for the Offence of Murder and these are: Yangen Yuan, 32, and Zhaoguo Dong, 42, both of Ng’wena Main Area in Mungwi. They are accused of murdering Evaristo Chileshe, 42, a security guard at the said address. They accused him of stealing iron sheets. Kicks, fists and plank were used. Occurred on 9/9/2018 in Mungwi. Body of deceased lying in Kasama General Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem,” said Mweene.
