HOME Affairs Minister Jack Mwiimbu says for the first time in history, political parties will be allowed to hold meetings at their party premises without informing the police under the recently passed Public Gatherings Bill. Mwiimbu says the Bill should not be feared as it will not interfere with people’s lives. He adds that members of the public should note that the threshold of three people is contained in the repealed Public Order Act, while the new Bill defines a public gathering as seven or more persons.
