THE National Association for Smallholder Farmers (NASFA) is urging government to quickly release the Crop Forecast Survey Report, saying the delay is agitating farmers and leaving them vulnerable to briefcase buyers. The Crop Forecasting Survey (CFS) for Zambia is generally released every year in May at the beginning of the agriculture marketing season and is conducted collaboratively by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Zambia Statistics Agency.
