THE Ministry of Health has recorded four measles-related deaths in the country. Addressing the media Friday, Ministry Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Dr. Kennedy Lishimpi said Shang’ombo had recorded three mortalities, while Lusaka recorded one. Dr Lishimpi said 119 out of 700 suspected measles cases were recorded between January and June 2026. “Shang’ombo recorded 83 admission cases and three mortality cases. Lusaka recorded four confirmed admissions and one mortality, while Chirundu recorded two admissions, bringing the total number of mortalities to four.
