LOCAL Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Nicholas Phiri has announced that government has commenced phase two of the Cash for Work programme. Phiri says government is targeting 221,500 beneficiaries across all the 116 districts, stating that K150 million has been set aside for the implementation of the programme. The Cash for Work programme was suspended in October last year in order to address gaps in the initiative’s implementation.
