A WOMAN detainee aged 26 identified as Milimo Mpongo has committed suicide by hanging at Kazungula Police Station. Police say that Mpongo of Makalanguzu Village, allegedly hang herself between 07:00 and 08:00 hours on Friday, August 28. Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo says the deceased was discovered hanging in the female cells, using the Chitenge material she was wearing, which had been tied to a window burglar bar.
